Values In Action - The Story of Blackwood
The Blackwood Story reveals a fresh approach to teambuilding, but more importantly, it is also shows that when you set out to do things for the right reasons, it all works out. The Blackwood story is replete with circumstances that all played out and resulted in a great outcome for a local community, a school for children at risk, the children themselves, a major Australian financial services organisation, and participants from all over Australia - all on one day. This is the story of lessons learned about values and of a small bush school that made it all the way to national recognition - all because a CEO led his company with a values based approach that made a difference to a lot of people.
Please note that 50% of our fee is to be donated to the Blackwood Annexe Foundation so that the objectives of Blackwood can be continued and expanded.
The Last Lecture - Standing On The Shoulders Of Others
After many years, you are about to leave your organisation. What is the one piece of wisdom that you would like to impart to those who might benefit from your experience? What is your legacy, how will you be remembered? The Last Lecture provides a future challenge to any audience and connects with present behaviours. Along the way, you will hear about the thoughts of a range of leaders who have considered this question. What was important to them, and why? How do their views, and their legacies differ from yours and what can we learn that will assist us as we move through our business careers?
What Ought One To Do? Making Tough Decisions
What ought one to do? Following a brief introduction to the subject of Ethics, the audience is involved in a 'hypothetical' approach to some realistic scenarios that test the audience's understanding and acceptance of opposing views. These scenarios will be written and aligned with your own corporate values to make the point that these values stand for something and that they are real and observable.
