Dr. Denis Bourke is a Coach, Facilitator, Program Designer, Speaker and Author in the area of management and leadership. He has more than twenty years of applied business experience in both the public and private sector, and for much of that time he has held senior manager and executive positions.
Working and consulting predominantly in Australia, Denis also has experience in the United States, United Kingdom, and the Asia Pacific region and has worked in, and with, a variety of industries and disciplines, including: professional services; financial services; manufacturing; energy and the environment; education; government; and academia.
Denis holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, a Masters degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Education. He is an adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He has managed, designed and delivered more than 30,000 person days of workshop and program activities. During the last fifteen years he has published widely on a range of issues and has presented at national and international conferences. Denis is also a qualified coach of Personal Branding DNA™, a coaching programme for senior managers and leaders.
As an advisor to the Blackwood Annexe, a secondary school for young children at risk, Denis’ work with the Blackwood Centre for Adolescent Development was recognised through an Australian Humanitarian Award in the category of Social Justice and Law. In 2003, Denis' company, the Centre for Executive Development, was named national winner of the Prime Minister’s award for excellence in community and small business partnerships.
